Wallflower is such a fun personal project! It’s like a diary or a collage.
I decided I’ll start theming the issues to help you guys know what value each one will offer. This issue’s theme, in the spirit of spring, is “The Language of Flowers.”

This one is extra special, because two of my friends wrote beautiful poems. They are so different, but both use flower imagery. One is about love, one is about grief (which is a form of love in and of itself).
What I’m Most Excited About
I’m also excited because I made a quiz that’ll tell you which flower you are! There are four options: a violet, a rose, an iris, or a chrysanthemum. Without reading it already, can you guess which one you are?
Also Inside . . .
There’s also classic articles you can find inside most issues, some with a spin on the flowers theme.
- Book review on The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue (as promised the other day)
- From the Hanger — A look at a recent outfit I wore that was super bright and fun and helped an otherwise mediocre day feel more bright.
- Soft Thoughts — including a soft-girl YT playlist
- Playlist — Some songs I’ve been loving, all relating to flowers
- Quiet Moment — A collection of quiet moments I’ve taken photos of
- A Colourful History of Vantablack — At the time it was released, this was the blackest black you could get! There’s all kinds of science-y facts in there to explain it, but basically, it’s SO black that it creates a void effect. It caused huge drama!
I’m so excited for you to enjoy this issue. Please share with friends!
